The Botero Bar Stool was designed in 2018 by Peter Andersson and Matti Klenell for Källemo, for the reopening of the National Museum in Stockholm.
The designers’ ambition with Botero was to create a chair with a consciously eclectic expression – a mix of the eras represented at the National Museum. Crafted from solid ash or oak and upholstered in luxurious vegetable-tanned leather from Tärnsjö Garveri, Botero is a generously proportioned dining chair that combines comfort, practicality, and refined elegance—ideal for everyday use

Matti Klenell is a trained interior architect and furniture designer and Peter Andersson is a product and interior designer. Together they’re always trying to avoid the short-lived trends aiming to make projects that outlive the tear and wear of both the eye as the usage.
Everything we surround ourselves with affects us. Even furniture. Källemo’s ambition is to produce long-term sustainable furniture. Furniture that “stand the wear of the eye”, resisting temporary trends and whose design continues to interest. An immateriality that cannot be administered. It comes from within and is recognized by gifted designers.
