Gunnar Biilmann Petersen was a Danish designer and architect renowned for his influential work in the field of graphic arts. Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Decorative Art, he initially pursued a career in architecture but found his true calling in graphic design. His work was remarkably diverse—ranging from posters, banknotes, and corporate logos to the meticulous layout of Jens Olsen’s World Clock in Copenhagen City Hall. With a keen eye for detail and a distinctive visual language, Biilmann Petersen helped shape the identity of modern Danish graphic design.

"Biilmann Petersen's output also included many proposed designs for Le Klint table lamps, some of which are still in the product range."
