ND Trisse Table

Nanna Ditzel 1962

Designed in 1962, the Toadstool was inspired by her idea that “children never sit still for two minutes, they get up, stand on the chair and subsequently, it tips over.”

Known for her bold use of colours and embracing the quality of natural materials, Nanna Ditzel was fearless in both her work and the pursuit of her craft. With an unconventional approach to the design process, together with her extensive knowledge, came innovative designs from jewellery to textiles and furniture. Throughout her 60-year career, Nanna Ditzel established herself as one of the most distinctive figures in Danish design.

This observation became what is now lovingly referred to as the Toadstool Table. An iconic piece that can be turned and stacked, it becomes a lifelong friend for kids young and old. The Toadstool is manufactured by our friends, Danish furniture makers, Snedkergarrden, where every single piece of furniture is worked, shaped and checked by cabinet makers to ensure the best result possible.
