The Mushroom 204 Wall Lamp
Wilhelm Wohlert 1957
This beautiful wall lamp was created by Vilhelm Wohlert in 1957 for the honorary residence in Copenhagen of Nobel Prize winner Physicist, Niels Bohr.
The pleated shade is hand-folded by LE KLINT’s pleating technicians in Odense, while the wall mount is made of untreated light oak. Vilhelm Wohlert’s classic has been named ‘The Mushroom’.

Wilhelm Wohlert
Wilhelm Wohlert trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where he was taught by Kaare Klint. He was employed by the Academy as Professor of Structural Art from 1968-1986 and was nominated honorary member in 2001.
craftmanship
Le Klint have been manufacturing lamps in Odense since 1943. It is a completely conscious choice that they have maintained their production in Denmark, and it is a very important part of their DNA.
