The chests of drawers fit into all 300 mm deep wire and plex panels from String® System. They are designed with two drawers to offer hidden storage in your shelving combination. The chests of drawers are a great fit in either the hallway, living room or kids’ room where the need for hidden storage often is big. Chest of drawer w580 x d300 x h420 mm has internal dimensions (for each drawer) depth 237 mm, width 513 mm and height 160 mm. Chest of drawer w780 x d300 x h420 mm has internal dimensions (for each drawer) depth 237 mm, width 713 mm and height 160 mm. The chests of drawers are delivered unassembled.

Nils “Nisse” Strinning (1917 – 2006) was a Swedish architect and designer whose clean and practical designs have come to form the basis of what is now known as “Scandinavian design”. Nisse Strinning was best known for the String shelving system that he and his wife, the designer Kajsa Strinning, designed in response to a 1949 contest held by Bonnier public library.
The String design has received more than 15 prestigious international awards including a gold medal at the Milan Triennale (1954), The Classic Prize and Excellent Swedish Design (1999), German Design Award (2016), “Furniture Supplier of the Year” and Winner Long Life Design Award (2020) to name a few. String® was also honoured with a stamp by the Swedish Postal Service (2017).
