Danish manufacturer Getama is renowned for working with Hans Wegner for more than 60 years. In 1999, the company launched new products by internationally renowned architect Nanna Ditzel, including the Ring lounge chair, designed in 1958. As the name suggests, the Ring lounge chair features a back which curves around to form the armrests.

Nanna Ditzel A/S is a Copenhagen based design company and studio taking care of and continuing the lifework of Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel.  Nanna and Jørgen were born respectively in 1923 and 1921. They met each other the autumn 1943 at The School of Arts and Crafts, Copenhagen, where both were students.
