Model 26 Light

Tage Klint 1945

A classic since 1945, Le Klint Model 26 was designed by Danish architect Tage Klint with a simplicity that still feels remarkably contemporary.

Its neat, low-profile form can be mounted on the ceiling or wall, making it equally suited to hallways, bedrooms, kitchens and other spaces where a more discreet light is desired. The elegant hand-folded shade gently diffuses the light, creating an even, warm glow.

DESIGNER

Tage Klint

The son of architect P.V. Jensen-Klint, Tage Klint played a defining role in transforming the Klint family’s tradition of pleating into the foundations of Le Klint as a commercial design company. A designer and entrepreneur with a practical mind, Tage went on to design a number of lamps himself, several of which remain part of the Le Klint collection today.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Le Klint has been manufacturing hand-folded lamps and lights in Odense since 1943 – “And we still do, but it is also one of Denmark’s best kept secrets – we have to do something about this. It is a completely conscious choice that we have maintained our production in Denmark, and it is a very important part of our DNA.”
