Floor lamp with mother of pearl discs on a three ring metal frame.
Discs are connected with small rings. Verner Panton (1926-1998) introduced a series of modern lamps with personalities unlike any of his Scandinavian contemporaries. With a remarkable faith in the unlimited possibilities of the form, he worked successfully to create a new set of theories about how lighting should work and how it should influence its surroundings.
Verner Panton (1926-1998) established a unique reputation for his exuberant originality and tireless experimentation. Panton created lamps, furniture and textiles – and was also a sought-after interior designer.
Verpan is – much like Verner Panton – a product of the Danish design tradition, which have put Denmark on the world map for functional, modern and unique design.
