Fliegenbein Floor Lamp

Garth Roberts 1957

Designed by J.T. Kalmar, the Fliegenbein series gets its name from its base, which resembles the legs of a housefly.

The Fliegenbein Floor Lamp pairs slender and voluminous shapes, complementing any modern interior. The freestanding armature comprises two bent metal tubes that merge into a single shaft, and a pleated silken shade that suspends near the top of this column. Three matte finishes accentuate the shape of the legs, which also feature Kalmar Werkstätten’s signature wheat-colored electrical cord.
