Curvy Stool serves as both a stool and a side table, showcasing a playful composition of solid oak pieces.
The design draws inspiration from the human body, reflecting a continuous fascination with natural forms and corporeal expression. Curvy Stool reveals different expressions from various angles, playing with light and shadow to serve as a decorative furniture piece in any space. Each Curvy Stool is carefully crafted by local, talented craftsmen in solid oak from the remaining offcuts of beautiful planks.
The design was born from the idea of recycling these smaller pieces from a flooring production, resulting in a stool assembled using a classic laminating process with supporting dowels. All wood comes from selected European forests, where the stands are handled with care and respect for nature. The Curvy Stool is made for the senses to explore and is crafted in Denmark.

craftmanship
The Curvy Stool is constructed of leftover cuts from beautiful solid planks by Dinesen, using high-quality pieces that would typically have been discarded. As always, we are intrigued by the different facets that the play between light and shadow offers—the stool’s character changes when experienced from different angles as the sun and daylight interact with it. We always aim for our designs to fit the body—like puzzle pieces made for one another.
