Clara Bed Head
Sara Helder & Gert Wingårdh 2014
This elegant and robust headboard was originally designed for the Miss Clara hotel in Stockholm.
Inspired by the building’s beautiful curved windows, it is handmade in all natural materials, using solid bent European beech or ash with a backrest upholstered in hairlok and certified wool, dressed with vegetable tanned leather. The artful frame is treated with hardwax oil, stain or lacquer with the central section covered in matching leather, bringing strength, femininity and a touch of the whimsical to the bedroom.

Gert Wingårdh, widely recognized as an architect, has garnered fame not only for his architectural accomplishments but also for his diverse range of roles as an author, television host, and product designer. Sara Helder, an interior architect, has been an integral part of Wingårdhs design team for nearly two decades. This dynamic duo has collaborated on numerous significant projects, including Aula Medica, naturum Laponia, the Swedish Embassy in Washington, Liljevalchs+, and Hotel Miss Clara.
