Great Dane curates the very best products from Scandinavia and around the world and the Product is both designed and manufactured to give you many years of quiet enjoyment. We have a long-term relationship with our suppliers and can confirm that quality issues are an extremely rare occurrence. Our products are quality controlled by our makers at their workshops and then are quality controlled again once we receive them into our warehouse here in Australia prior to customer delivery.  

However, if somehow a Product has been delivered that has a manufacturing fault or a material fault we will replace or repair the Product at no cost to you as required by the Australian Consumer Act 2010.

You may be entitled to this remedy if you contact us with 48 hours of your Product delivery and the Product is; Faulty with either workmanship or materials, the Product has been wrongly described, the Product is different to the sample shown to you or the Product does not do what it is supposed to do.

Please choose carefully because the consumer act does not cover a “customer change of mind”, and as the furniture Products have been custom made to your specifications and finishes they cannot be returned or refunded, notwithstanding the terms above. If there is a variation to this condition it is given at the sole discretion of Great Dane.



In addition to your rights under the Australia Consumer Act 2010 we offer the following additional warranties under the following conditions;

All Furniture is covered by a three (3) year warranty from date of purchase.

All Lighting is covered by a two (2) year warranty from date of purchase and excludes consumables like transformers and globes.  Warranty is void if installation instructions are not correctly followed and installation is not to specification.

All Accessories are covered by a one (1) year warranty from date of purchase.

Great Dane will repair or replace free of charge any faulty Product due to defects in materials or workmanship within the warranty period. Great Dane, or our nominated agency, reserve the right to assess, repair, replace or service any warranty claims as we see fit.

If your Product is faulty, it will be replaced with an identical product. Standard Lead times apply. If the Product cannot be replaced due to a change in supplier availability, you will be offered the option of choosing another Product of the same value or be provided with a refund for the total value of the faulty Product.



Product sold in the Great Dane Annual or Bi Annual Store Sale is covered by a one (1) year warranty with terms and conditions the same as detailed in this document.

Product sold in the Great Dane Garage Sale has no Express (Additional) warranty and Products are bought on an “as is basis”.

Product sold ex Display from the showroom carries the same Express warranties as listed above in the Express warranty paragraph and any pre-existing issues or marks will be noted on your quotation and as such will not be covered by the warranty. All other warranty terms and conditions are as per this warranty document.



This warranty for the Products commences from date of purchase.

Great Dane and our suppliers reserve the right to make changes to our Products at any time.

The Express warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Product.

Great Dane on behalf of our suppliers provides this warranty in relation to the Products. This warranty only applies under accepted normal use of the Product and extends to defects which have arisen solely from faulty materials or workmanship in the Products and does not apply to other defects which may have arisen as a result of, without limitation, the following: accidental damage, abuse, misuse, maltreatment, abnormal stress or strain, unusual physical or environmental conditions, or neglect of any kind of the Products. Normal fair wear and tear is not covered by the warranty. Normal variations to natural materials, like marks and scars in full aniline leather or variations in wood grain are not product faults and are part of the natural beauty of the product and as such are excluded from the warranty.  

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your consumer rights, Great Dane will not be liable for any reasonably foreseeable consequential loss of any kind caused by any defect in the Product and our responsibility is limited only to the value of the item purchased at Great Dane.



To make a warranty claim, contact your Great Dane representative directly with the following information;

Proof of purchase / Order number or invoice number / Photos of the product fault / Contact details with address location of the faulty product.

Transport costs for Furniture deemed faulty by Great Dane will be covered by us.

Lighting and Accessories need to brought back to the original store of purchase by the customer for changeover / repair.
