String® System Cabinet with Swing Door

The cabinet with swing door is available in one width, 580 mm, and one depth, 300 mm.

The cabinet fits together with all 300 mm deep wire and plex panels from String® System. It is visually pleasing to add a bolder element to your shelf, like a cabinet, which also give you a lot of extra storage. The door can be mounted on either side of the cabinet. The cabinet consists of one adjustable inner shelf and the internal dimensions are: w540 x d260 x h380 mm. The cabinet is delivered unassembled.

Kajsa & Nisse Strinning

Nils “Nisse” Strinning (1917 – 2006) was a Swedish architect and designer whose clean and practical designs have come to form the basis of what is now known as “Scandinavian design”. Nisse Strinning was best known for the String shelving system that he and his wife, the designer Kajsa Strinning, designed in response to a 1949 contest held by Bonnier public library.

CRAFTMANSHIP

Since its launch in 1949, the String design has received more than 15 prestigious international awards including a gold medal at the Milan Triennale (1954), The Classic Prize and Excellent Swedish Design (1999), German Design Award (2016), “Furniture Supplier of the Year” and Winner Long Life Design Award (2020) to name a few. String® was also honoured with a stamp by the Swedish Postal Service (2017).
