Sax Wall Lamp

Erik Hansen 1952

The Sax Wall Lamp, better known as the scissor lamp, is a classic design created in 1952 by Le Klint’s chief engineer Erik Hansen.

Like an accordion, the lamp can be pulled out and pushed in, depending on where you need its soft and pleasant light. Available in light oak or smoked oak, the lamp also comes in several versions – with a long or short extension, and with the lampshade above or below the extension to satisfy more than one need. With its light wood and white, it’s synonymous with Le Klint and classic Danish design.

In 1952 Erik Hansen designed the first Sax lamp for Le Klint. For many people, the classic lines and texture of the paper shade together with natural wood are synonymous with Le Klint.
