Established in 2005 by Cia Attling and Marie Wallenberg Olsson, Vandra Rugs is a Swedish heritage brand that revives traditional weaving techniques.
Renowned for its luxurious hand-woven rugs, the brand seamlessly blends timeless design with exceptional craftsmanship. Dedicated to social and environmental responsibility, Vandra Rugs operates with profound respect for both people and the planet.
Rettangolo was created through experimenting with the traditional Swedish röllakan technique. The pixelated pattern and the possibility to use three colours in each row led to the frame. The next step was to complete the rug with long solid coloured rectangles for a calmer impression. In order to tie these elements together and add another technique, stripes of linen rya came to complete the design.

Ami is a partner at the Stockholm based architectural firm 3dO Architects. She has designed bespoke rug collections for various clients, and worked on projects within architecture, interior design and object design. Ami has gotten various prices for her vase “Fanny” by KLONG.
