Palmgrens box in vegetable-tanned leather, embossed with a pattern designed by Carl Cavallius.
Together with Beckmans School of Design, room°6 was furnished at the Hôtel de Marle by the Institut Suédoise. Palmgrens accessories, intended to offer inspiration and organization during the guest’s stay, were characterized by a playful pattern, designed by Beckmans alumni and designer Carl Cavallius.
The Stockholm-based leather atelier was founded in 1896, beginning with vegetable-tanned leather goods such as saddles, bridles, and harnesses before expanding into handbags, wallets, and home office accessories. In 1950, they launched their version of the wicker market bag—the now-classic rattan bag. Framed in colourful leather, the modern design still resonates today.
Since the beginning, Palmgrens has continuously made products with great respect for quality and craftsmanship. Products are sewn in carefully selected genuine calf leather, a material valued for its rich character that enhances with time.
