Peter Andersson is a Swedish product and interior designer whose practice is centred on contextual, functional and enduring design. His work spans a wide range of scales, from architecture and interiors to furniture, products and the smallest fittings.
A defining part of Andersson’s practice is his focus on inclusive design, particularly within healthcare and education. He approaches these environments with a pragmatic understanding of how people interact with the spaces and objects around them, while bringing a strong sense of expression and character to otherwise functional solutions.
His designs are thoughtful rather than trend-driven, with an emphasis on sustainable quality, longevity and everyday usability. Through his Stockholm studio and workshop in southern Sweden, Andersson develops and tests full-scale prototypes, allowing function, material and form to be explored together.
