A Hans J. Wegner Plank Chair is made to be touched, lived and sat in.

First designed in 1953, it is widely celebrated as an iconic piece of design history today. A fresh and modern stand-alone piece for any contemporary or mid-century interior, it is defined by beautiful walnut planks and a generous and deep resting area. The cushions are cold foam inner with duck feather wrap making it incredibly comfortable, perfect for creating a cosy corner to put your feet up with a good book or a glass of wine. The Plank Chair is handcrafted by our renowned and respected Danish makers and friends, Getama in Gested, Denmark.

The complicated organic shapes of our products are impossible, or certainly unpractical, to finish by using machines alone. Machines will never be able to sense the subtle nuances in each piece of wood and how to bring vitality through its shape.
